2021 Maserati Ghibli Trofeo, comes with Ferrari DNA

Shortly after the Ghibli Hybrid launch, Maserati presented Ghibli with very different DNA. The 2021 Maserati Ghibli Trofeo is really unusual because it uses Ferrari’s V8 twin-turbo engine.

Early August 2020, Maserati introduced the Trofeo line-up with a Ferrari V8 twin-turbo engine. This line-up consists of Levante Trofeo, Quattroporte Trofeo, and Ghibli Trofeo. Didn’t Ghibli just introduce a hybrid variant? Yep, one of the improvements for the 2021 Maserati Ghibli is a more diverse choice of engines.

Maserati Ghibli Hybrid comes with a 2.0L inline 4 mild hybrid engine with eBooster and 48V BSG. Meanwhile, the Trofeo comes with Ferrari DNA thanks to the 3.9-liter V8 twin-turbo engine. This engine is also used by models like the Ferrari 488.

Do you want to have a ‘Ferrari’ with five passengers’ capacity? 2021 Maserati Ghibli Trofeo could be an option. This car wasn’t born in Maranello, but it has Ferrari DNA thanks to the built-in V8 engine.

The performance is no joke, being the fastest Maserati sedan at the moment. Compared to the larger Quattroporte, Ghibli is clearly a more attractive Trofeo variant. Furthermore, this car’s sale period may be limited by the Maserati-Ferrari engine agreement, which will expire in 2022 and will not continue. A Maserati Ghibli Trofeo with a Ferrari V8 twin-turbo engine will certainly be very special. Take a look at the following review of the 2021 Maserati Ghibli Trofeo.
